Jen Howat, LLC, doing business as Build it Better Communications ("Company," "we," "us," or "our"), respects your privacy and is committed to protecting the personal information you share with us.   • Account credentials for client portal access

B. Information Collected Automatically

  • IP address and general geographic location

  • Browser type, operating system, and device information

  • Pages visited, time on site, and referring URLs

C. Information from Third-Party Platforms

  • If you interact with our ads on Google, Facebook, Instagram, or LinkedIn, those platforms may share information with us subject to their own privacy policies

  • If you use our HighLevel-powered client platform, data entered into that system is subject to both this policy and HighLevel's privacy policy

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, manage, and improve our services and client deliverables

  • Create and manage your account or client portal

  • Process payments and fulfill purchases

  • Send email communications including newsletters, promotional updates, project recaps, platform updates, community updates, and event information

  • Send SMS/text messages including welcome messages, appointment reminders, encouragement, community updates, and event notifications (with your consent)

  • Respond to your inquiries and provide customer support

  • Deliver and improve digital marketing campaigns (for clients)

  • Operate and improve our website and platform

  • Comply with legal obligations

We do not use your personal information for any purpose incompatible with the purposes described above without first obtaining your consent.

Phone numbers collected through our SMS opt-in process are never sold, rented, leased, or shared with third parties for their own marketing or commercial purposes. Phone number data is used solely to send the SMS communications you have explicitly requested and consented to receive.

4. How We Share Your Information

  • HighLevel — our CRM, email, SMS, course hosting, community, and client platform provider. Data processed by GoHighLevel is subject to their privacy policy.

  • Stripe — secure payment processing. Stripe's privacy policy governs payment data.

  • Zoom — video conferencing for client meetings and virtual events.

  • Google, Meta (Facebook/Instagram), and LinkedIn — advertising platforms used to run marketing campaigns.

Legal Requirements:

We may disclose your information if required to do so by law, court order, or government request, or when we believe disclosure is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of the Company, our clients, or others.

Business Transfers:

In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you before your information becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

All third-party service providers are contractually required to use your information only as needed to perform services for us and to maintain appropriate security practices.

A. How to Opt In

You may opt in to receive SMS messages from us by:

  • Submitting your phone number through a web form on our Site and checking the SMS consent box

  • Texting a designated keyword to our SMS number as indicated on our Site or marketing materials

  • Verbally or in writing consenting to receive SMS messages at the time of a consultation or onboarding

  • Consent to receive SMS messages is not a condition of purchasing any product or service.

B. Types of Messages You May Receive

Once you have opted in, you may receive SMS messages including:

  • Welcome messages and onboarding information

  • Appointment reminders and scheduling confirmations

  • Announcements, and program updates

  • Community and event notifications

  • Encouragement and coaching-related content

Message frequency will vary. Standard message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile carrier plan.

C. How to Opt Out

You may opt out of SMS messages at any time by replying STOP to any text message you receive from us. After opting out, you will receive a single confirmation message and will no longer receive SMS communications unless you re-opt in. E. Phone Number Privacy

Phone numbers provided for SMS opt-in are used solely to send the communications you have consented to receive. F. Carrier Disclaimer

Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Message and data rates may apply.
